Isn't this little monster cute? A stemless succulent, the Faucaria originates from the Eastern Cape. The “teeth” along its edges are used to collect moisture, but we think it's just grinning! Bright yellow to orange flowers appear during summer. Flowers open up at midday and close in the evening. Give it at least 3 hours of direct sun to bloom. Comes in a 16cm grow pot. Decorative pots sold separately.
Please note that your plant may not have open flowers when it arrives, but the buds appear throughout summer.
Faucaria tigrina has only four remaining sub-populations left in the wild and is facing continued threat due to urban development and over-grazing. It has therefore been listed as Endangered in the Red List of South African Plants.
