Medium to bright, but do not expose to direct light. Brown crispy leaves are an indication of too much direct light.
Water often in summer, keeping the soil moist but not soggy. Let the soil dry out 1-2cm down in winter. It's a tricky balance to keep it from drying out or being overwatered. As soon as the leaves start drooping, it's thirsty. They recover quickly, but continuous fainting spells can harm the plant. Mist leaves regularly for best results as they love humidity. Humidity is key to success with this plant. Read our tips here.
Once monthly in summer with a fertiliser for leafy plants.
Every 1-2 years in spring. Mix regular potting soil with 1/3 peat moss and a good handful of perlite. This mix ensures good drainage while still retaining moisture. Or use our Hemp Super Soil!
If the leaves start turning yellow its a sign of too much water. Drooping leaves means it's thirsty. Brown curling leaves means it is getting too much sun or too little humidity. Prune to keep them looking bushy.
Nerve plants grow in light shade at the bottom of tropical forests, spreading out as a low groundcover. It's also known as the Mosaic Plant, and comes in various colours.
