Mini Maya is Maya's little minion, coming in a smaller grow pot. Also known botanically as Scindapsus aureum, the pothos Marble Queen is renowned for her cascading tendrils and white marbled leaves. Trail them around a bookshelf or windowsill, or let them dangle from a shelf or plant stand. The Marble Pothos is also really easy to care for too! The Pothos is a NASA approved air-purifying plant.

Comes in a 14cm plastic grow pot. Decorative pots and plant hangers sold separately.

Caring for Maya

Light

Maya likes medium light. Light that's too bright will scorch leaves. Too little light and the plant will get leggy (sticky) with fewer leaves growing on the vines. An east-facing window is ideal.

Water & humidity

Let the soil dry out between watering. The Pothos hates soggy roots. It will tell you when it needs water when the leaves start to droop. Black spots on the leaves or the sudden decline of the plant is usually due to over-watering.  Maya is tolerant of low humidity.

Feeding

The Pothos is not a heavy feeder, but will enjoy a monthly snack on Canola Meal fertiliser.

Re-potting

Maya may need re-potting every year. When the leaves droop no matter how often you water, the roots have probably filled the pot. Choose a container one size larger and use fresh potting soil.

Atrium Top Tip

It's a good idea to prune your Pothos regularly to keep it looking bushy.

Quirky plant fact

The Pothos removes formaldehyde and benzene fumes, which are often found in newly painted or furnished rooms. They also remove carbon monoxide from the air, increasing oxygen levels, boosting concentration, mood, energy levels & improving sleep.
