Philodendron 'Birkin'
This must be the most beautiful Philodendron with its creamy stripes of variegation. The new leaves start off as dark green, becoming lighter as they mature. This is a rather compact variety of Philodendron, which will grow to around 30cm tall & wide.
Grow pot width: 14cm. Decorative pot sold separately.
Flat shipping rates apply per order (add more plants & pay the same on shipping). Gauteng R79. Rest of South Africa R119 (Except Limpopo, Mpumalanga & Northern Cape R149).

Give it bright filtered light for best results. However, the leaves will scorch in direct sun. It can handle medium light conditions, but growth will be slower and the variegation may not be as pronounced.
Water when the top 2-3cm of soil is dry, especially in winter. In summer you can keep it slightly more moist, but rather err on the side of underwatering a Philodendron plant. Normal room humidity is fine, you may need to increase humidity levels in winter.
Once every two months in summer with organic fertiliser. Do not feed in winter.
Re-pot every 2 years if necessary to one pot size up. These plants like being root bound. Normal well draining potting soil that's rich in organic matter will do. A small handful of kraal manure can also be added.
Too much water will cause the leaves to turn yellow and fall out or develop brown black splodges. Too little water will cause the leaves to turn brown on the edges and curl.
Philodendron is a member of the Araceae (Arum) family, and is a cultivar of Philodendron erubescens, which originates from the Caribbean, Colombia and Venezuela.
