With her long stems and flared leaves, it’s not hard to imagine the Brazilian Xanadu tangoing in your living room or outside on the patio. A compact and extremely rewarding plant for beginners and aficionados. She’ll have you wrapped around her finger in no time!

Sophia likes to dance in bright indirect light indoors. She'll also enjoy a sheltered position outsided with some morning light.
Water deeply when the soil is dry, letting the water drain out the bottom. Allow the top 5cm of soil dry out between watering. Overwatering is the quickest way to bring Sophia's dancing career to an end. Sophia's not too phased about humidity.
Feed once every two months in summer, if necessary. Never feed in winter.
Re-pot every two years if necessary, going one pot size up. Philodendron's like being root bound.
If the bottom leaves turn yellow and fall out it's a sign of overwatering. If the leaves turn brown and crisp it's a sign of too little water/too much sun.
In it's wild habitat, subterranean roots can grow 60 feet long.
